The Mitsubishi Mirage Wins in Efficiency

When it comes to fuel efficiency the Mitsubishi Mirage is leading the way. The Mirage is proud to hold the title of being the most fuel efficient gasoline-powered vehicle in America. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency gave the Mirage a 36 miles per gallon city rating and a 43 miles per gallon highway rating. With fuel efficiency like that just think of all the money you will save!

All that incredible fuel efficiency doesn't equate to a lack of features. The 2019 Mirage comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, a backup camera, and 60/40-split folding rear seats in the base ES model. A six-speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system comes with the RF trim. The LE trim builds upon the ES model and adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, and red interior stitching. The top tier GT comes with xenon headlights, heated front seats, and 15-inch alloy wheels.

However, the Mirage hatchback doesn't get all the glory. The Mirage G4 sedan ranks the most fuel efficient in its class of compact cars. The EPA gave the Mirage G4 a highway fuel economy of 41 miles per gallon. The Mirage G4 comes with two trim levels the ES and SE. The ES trim gives you a choice of a five-speed or continuously variable automatic transmission while the SE is only available with the later. The base trim comes equipped with keyless entry, 60/40-split folding rear seats, a backup camera, Bluetooth, a 7-inch touchscreen and a four-speaker sound system. The Mirage SE adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, and heated front seats.

The Mirage G4 and the Mirage hatchback come equipped with the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. The engines are paired with front-wheel drive and either a five-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission.
